The Garden Project

Posted on

While I have been spending a lot of time working inside of our new home, Mr. M has been busy outside. We have made many trips to the hardware store and local nurseries. One of his big projects has been a new garden. Here it is:

As you can see it is a work in progress. I refer to it as our “Fruit Salad Garden”. It is mostly fruit trees and plants, which include mango, banana, and citrus trees, and pineapple plants. We also have some solar lights (I call them our Fairy Lights), to add to the garden’s beauty at night:

We can see this garden from our patio and also from our bedroom. It is fun to see just before we retire for the night! Hasn’t he done a great job?

It is fun and really easy here. I just twist the top off of a ripe pineapple and plant it. The ones in this garden are the keikis (babies) from our original pineapple plant. One a plant has produced a pineapple it will not only provide a new plant from the top but several along the stem. Our original plant gave us 7 new ones! I grew the original in a big pot.
